The Best is Yet to Come . I received this story from a dear friend. I want to pass the fork to you. Woman and a Fork There was a young woman who had been diagnosed with a terminal illness and had been given three months to live. So as she was getting her things 'in order,' she contacted her Pastor and had him come to her house to discuss certain aspects of her final wishes. She told him which songs she wanted sung at the service, what scriptures she would like read, and what outfit she wanted to be buried in. Everything was in order and the Pastor was preparing to leave when the young woman suddenly remembered something very important to her. 'There's one more thing,' she said excitedly.. 'What's that?' came the Pastor's reply. 'This is very important,' the young woman continued. 'I want to be buried with a fork in my right hand.' The Love between a Parent and a Child I am watching a video of my granddaughter taking her first real walk across the room. Her face just lights up and her voice is sharing a loud giggle. She is , and has right to be, proud of herself. And so excited. Do you remember how it feels to watch those moments with your child when they took their first steps? When you opened the present they had made at school? Or any present they gave you! What about the uncertainty in their eyes when you had to walk away from them for the first day of kindergarten or daycare. A huge twisting of your heart wasn't it? Living those experiences are just a few events that make you love them even more than the day they were born. As a mother and grandmother, I can honestly say I would step in front of anything that might harm my children, grandchildren or any child. Do you agree? Would you do that? Like a feather to others Often we are so wrapped up in our everyday tasks and emotions that we forget  how we as christians should approach or respond to others. Always respond like a child, Like a feather, Like Jesus Christ- With love, kindness, commpassion, gentleness and understanding. Our Father directed Paul to tell us...... Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, long suffering:bearing with one another and forgiving one another, if one has a compaint againist another: even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.  But above all of these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. Satan sees your potential and it scares him! God has used your experiences, talents, education and character to develop the perfect tool. YOU!  The Dream of a Christian! Can you imagine what this will be like?            I still hold my breath for a second or two When I post an new article on this site: God's prayer blog. I hold my breath hoping that someone will receive something from my humble writing or add a comment to reaffirm that they read the post. We  develop a topic, write then edit the post, include photos and text to the pics before we can post it.. So we are like children waiting to see a response. So when we check back onto this his prayer site and see a comment has been left- We are so excited!   Of course not as excited as...... When we are waiting at the airport for our children or grandchildren, parents or loved ones to walk down that ramp. Because We have been waiting to see them. This verse is for YOU, when you are discouraged and Ready to give up! Sometimes, You will feel discouraged and want to give up . You work and work to achieve some good but feel like nothing you do gets noticed. You don't see anyone benefiting or even seeing your message. But yet You are instructed to continue on with your work. You are not alone! We all have those days. I am having one of those days also. So let's remember.... The Lord wants us to be happy and to see the good of our work...... Time for your spiritual and physical  nourishment So often , we are trying to take care of many more responsibilities than our time allows. Our time requirements may include ourselves, our spouses, children, homes, family obligations, spiritual development , work no wonder we are exhausted! In my busy life I was fighting so hard to keep my head above the "water" that I often let things slide. Unfortunately I could not let certain things slide spouse, children, meals, work so the area that I did let slide more often than not was myself and my spiritual needs. My bible reading, prayer time, my spiritual refreshment was down to nil. When We let this area go neglected it strongly impacts all areas of our lives. Our peaceful loving souls become rushed, our temperament becomes  angry by the smallest event, our marriage begins to deteriorate and our children may be pushed away from our loving embrace. I have days like this , I am ashamed to say. Do you?  Me: (in a tizzy) : God, can I ask you something? GOD: Sure. Me: Promise you won't get mad? ... GOD: I promise. Me (frustrated): Why did you let so much stuff happen to me today? GOD: What do you mean? Me: Well I woke up late, GOD: Yes Me: My car took forever to start. The Rooster and the Rabbit Our friends invited us over to see their new baby- a goat. She is adorable and full of energy She acts like what you would expect a Kid to act like. But what got my attention even more what a rooster and a rabbit that lives in the barn. The rooster has been around the farm awhile. Our friends found a baby rabbit all alone several months ago. They put it in the barn to live and grow. Well the rooster and rabbit watched and got use to each other. And yesterday this is what I saw.... Do you want to be him?         The rooster was pecking on the ground then laying and fluttering it's wings to dig a hole. For non farm people roosters and chickens do this because they want to lay in the dirt to relax, stay cooler or just because they want to. The rooster decided to come over and see what we were doing to the newest member of their little family- the kid. When the rooster got up guess what happened.
